Dedicated volunteers are at the foundation of the Centre’s success in promoting French language culture and heritage throughout New Hampshire.

New volunteer position:

The Franco American seeks a Volunteer Marketing and Communications Coordinator to actively administer the organization’s marketing and communication strategies in the areas of advertising, branding, marketing, press releases, social media, and website content.  The Marketing and Communications Coordinator works collaboratively with the Executive Director and Administrator and helps supervise the organization’s Marketing/Social Media volunteers and interns.

 Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate effort to develop the Brand  to capture the essence of culture and experience through a campaign that both communicates and attracts people to the Center
  • Execute coordinated marketing communication tactics that provide outreach and visibility of the Brand consistently when promoting our news and events, benefits of membership, and fundraising;
  • Determine and engage resources needed to execute our marketing communications plan
  • Engage with press and news outlets
  • Source and secure advertising
  • Monitor and track performance of marketing communication campaigns

We encourage anyone who has an interest in helping out to contact us.  Some French language skills are helpful but not required.  While all skills are appreciated, we are currently actively looking for the following:

Marketing / Social Media Assistant (Volunteer)

  • Estimated time commitment: variable – 2 or more hours per week
  • Scheduling: Flexible, onsite and/or at home
  • Desired Skills: Strong writing skills, Familiarity with social media in general and WordPress (ideal), Graphic Design skills, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Tasks: Assist in developing and writing promotional materials for website, Facebook and other media.

Grant Researcher / Writer (Volunteer)

  • Estimated time commitment: variable – 4 or more hours per week
  • Scheduling: Flexible, onsite and/or at home
  • Desired Skills: Strong writing skills, Familiarity with corporate and non-profit grant sources. MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Tasks: Assist in identifying grant sources and developing compelling grant applications
