NH PoutineFest

10 Years of Gravy Goodness

The NH PoutineFest Story

Poutine - the combination of french fries, cheese and gravy - has been a staple in Québec’s culinary tradition since the 1960s.  After spreading throughout Canada, it has become a frequent addition to menus in the United States, particularly in the New England region.

In 2015, members of the Franco-American Centre (FACNH) came together over a shared love of poutine. What began as a simple conversation quickly inspired a larger vision to share this iconic comfort food with the New Hampshire community.

Inspired by a poutine festival in Chicago and with the support of dedicated staff, volunteers and sponsors, that vision became a reality. In June 2016, the first NH PoutineFest was held in collaboration with the NH Fisher Cats at Delta Dental Stadium, celebrating Franco-American culture, local talent, and the joy of gathering around food.

Over the years, NH PoutineFest has evolved to become a larger, family-friendly event involving music, children’s activities and assorted vendors.  In 2019, it expanded to the function area at Anheuser Busch brewery in Merrimack. Generous charitable donations from Pitco Frialator, Inc., Pineland Farms and many other sponsors have allowed NH PoutineFest to continue offering a fun experience at a great value.

Despite changes, NH PoutineFest has continued to bring people together from across the region to experience the flavors, creativity, and community spirit that define this special event while supporting FACNH’s mission of celebrating French Language, Culture & Heritage

10 Years of Gravy Goodness

In 2025, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of NH PoutineFest, marking an important milestone for the FAC and the community we serve.

This special edition featured a dynamic lineup of local vendors, each presenting their own interpretation of poutine. From classic preparations to inventive creations, the festival highlighted both tradition and innovation.

The day reflected the energy and connection that have shaped NH PoutineFest over the years. We were proud to celebrate this moment alongside our community, partners, and supporters.
