French Teaching Fast Track
Villa Albertine (the Cultural Institute of the French Embassy in the United States) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 edition of the French Teaching Fast Track program.

This opportunity is designed for advanced, native, and heritage French speakers interested in pursuing a teaching career in the United States.
Why French Teachers Matter:
The need for French teachers in U.S. schools has never been greater: 44 states currently report critical shortages of foreign-language teachers. With 1.3 million French speakers living in the United States, we believe many talented individuals could step into these roles with the right support and preparation.
Program Highlights:

70+ hours of online coursework on methods of foreign language teaching tailored for working professionals and career changers

Personalized Learning Plan to guide you through obtaining your teaching license

4 graduate credits from Pacific Lutheran University (PLU), fully transferable nationwide

One-year AATF membership, including a dedicated mentor in your state and opportunities for professional networking

Exploratory courses covering wide areas of French language instruction (heritage language, immersion programs, and more)
