Beliveau Arts Series

Honoring a Legacy of Art, Inspiring a New Generation

The Beliveau Arts Series brings the very best in performing, visual, and literary arts directly to our community—a living tribute to two remarkable artists who believed in the power of creativity to transform lives.

Thanks to the generous bequest from Maurice Beliveau, whose paintings captured beauty and meaning, and Janet Beliveau, accomplished pianist and patron of the arts, the Franco-American Centre (FACNH) is thrilled to launch this exciting new series. Every performance, exhibition, and reading honors their memory while creating fresh opportunities for our community to experience world-class artistry.

Get ready to be moved, inspired, and connected through the arts that Maurice and Janet loved so deeply. Their legacy lives on in every note played, every brushstroke admired, and every story shared.

Join us as we celebrate art, honor memory, and build community—one unforgettable experience at a time.

The Beliveau Arts Series brings the Francophone world to our community through incredible presentations, from captivating fine art to powerful literary works. Your donation helps us make these enriching experiences possible.

Discover Art with Fresh Eyes

Do you love visiting museums but wish you could connect more deeply with the works you see? This 5-week art appreciation class invites you to slow down, look closely, and uncover the stories behind great works of art.

Each week, we’ll focus on one artist and one masterpiece. Together, we’ll:

  • Learn about the artist’s life and historical context.

  • Explore the composition, style, and artistic techniques that bring the work to life.

  • Reflect on the meaning of the piece—both universally and personally.

By the end of the course, you’ll have the tools to engage with art in a richer, more rewarding way, whether in a museum, gallery, or your own home.

She says:

" As an abstract painter, I create artwork for the quest of meaning, authenticity, and expression of hope, serenity, peace, and happiness for me and others for our future.

Laura Knoy - writer, speaker, moderator, and award-winning journalist - presents her debut novel The Shopkeeper of Alsace. This sweeping family saga, inspired by a true story, spans both World Wars and unfolds in the fascinating, little-known region of Alsace, France.

Robert Perreault has spent decades preserving and promoting the history of his hometown through writing, public speaking, guiding tours, and photography. His fiction and nonfiction works, published in both English and French, have reached readers across the United States, French Canada, and France.
