No knowledge of French? No problem! This is a great way to start!
Each class will last 90 minutes. Here are some themes that will be discussed in class (subject to change):
Arriving in France:
At the airport and transit from the airport
Sharing expectations of what to expect when visiting France
The importance of greetings and basic civility
Lodging:
Hotels versus renting an apartment
Location, location, location!
At the hotel: amenities, choice of rooms, speaking with the receptionist or the concierge
Shopping for food in specialty shops or at the open-air market
Shopping for clothing and other items in a department store, store or “boutique”
At the restaurant or at the café:
Reading the menu (la carte)
Ordering in French
French food and specialties
Making a reservation
Visiting Paris:
Getting around the city
Museums
Points of interest
Understanding how Paris is divided into “arrondissements”
Visitions la Belle France:
Although for some visitors Paris IS France, let’s venture outside the Capital city.
Exploring Québec province and Québec
Must have a minimum of 5 students to run the classes.

Class Time: 5 to 6:30 PM
Dates: January 27th, February 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th, 2026
Location: Virtual via Zoom. Teacher will send online code prior to start of class.
